The audio technician's work is quite complex and stressful as he has to work with multiple devices which are spread over his work area, and he is aware that any errors that he may be committed, have immediate impact on the broadcasted signal.

When it is included among his tasks the interaction with someone on the other side of the phone line, and he must also simultaneously manipulate the audio router, stress increases, as does the probability of making an error.

Our offer

ConTel is an add on module for the MatrixControl System of X Frame Software, which interacts with Prodys Audio Codecs and sends the necessary commands to the Audio Router to make the connections and disconnections needed for the different states of the telephone communication established..

How it works

From ConTel configuration panel, you can include all Prodys Audio Codecs that are connected to the network, specifying the lines of communication that each possesses.

For each line of communication you can set the gain level of reception and transmission, to ensure homogeneity of the volume in the signal.

Finally the connections and disconnections between the inputs and outputs of the Audio Router are set, for each of the states of communication in lines. These states, in principle, are: Dial, Waiting, ON AIR, Talk and PFL.

Once configured, the control panel allows the user to indicate the calling Audio Codec and choose the targeted Audio Codec. When the call is accepted, the user can leave it on stand by or do any of the following: transfer the call to study, talk with the person and / or make a PFL.

Depending on the state of the line and in the action taken by the operator, ConTel manages connections and disconnections between the inputs and outputs of the Audio Router, so the audio is sent to the right place, eliminating the risk of establishing wrong connection, and making the technician's work to be more effective and secure.

Technical issues

ConTel requires of our MatrixControl system, and currently it only works with Prodys's digital audio codecs and DHD's digital audio routers.
